Eligibility for the University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarship:

Scholarships are open to candidates enrolled at an Australian or New Zealand university.
Applicants who are concurrently enrolled in taught papers and a thesis (593 or 594) may apply, providing they have not yet commenced their master’s thesis.
Preference may be given to applicants who have discussed the project with the supervisor before applying.

Selection Criteria:

The student's academic merit is assessed, and their Grade Point Average will be calculated on the candidate's most recent 240 points of study.
Applicants are evaluated on their level of expertise in one of the research project areas.

Documents Required:

Verified copies of the applicant's academic transcripts.
Two academic references
A copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae of not more than four pages.
A one-page summary of the applicant's experience, interest in the research areas, and relevant background.

Value: value of $8,000 and will include enrollment in a paper
