Eligibility for the University of Waikato Summer Research Scholarship:
- Scholarships are open to candidates enrolled at an Australian or New Zealand University.
- Applicants are expected to have completed at least three years of undergraduate study.
- Students who meet the above requirement can apply at the end of their 2nd year of undergraduate study.
- Students who want to pursue further studies at the University of Waikato are given priority.
Selection Criteria:
- The student's academic merit is assessed, and their Grade Point Average will be calculated on the candidate's most recent 240 points of study.
- Applicants are evaluated on their level of expertise in one of the research project areas.
Documents Required:
- Verified copies of the applicant's academic transcripts.
- Two academic references
- A copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae of not more than four pages.
- A one-page summary of the applicant's experience, interest in the research areas, and relevant background.
Value: A value of $8,000 and will include enrolment in a paper
