Vice Chancellor’s Award

The prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Award scholarships aim to recognise and support outstanding international students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to the betterment of society.

Eligibility criteria -

  • You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham starting in September 2026. Part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
  • You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible
  • The minimum requirements are 144 UCAS tariff points (or international equivalents) for undergraduate programmes and a 1st-class honours (or international equivalents) for postgraduate programmes.
  • This scholarship is available to students in their first year of study only.

Application process -

  • The applicant must obtain an offer.
  • They must submit their application via one of the following links, depending on their intake: February 2026, September 2026, or February 2027. Deadlines can be found below.
  • Include a personal statement and, in 500 words, demonstrate your achievements in your field of study, your career aspirations, and your contribution to the betterment of society.
