The John A. Murphy Prize in Irish History at University College Cork 2026

Introduction:

The John A. Murphy Prize in Irish History honors Professor John A. Murphy’s significant contribution to Irish history and University College Cork. The prize recognizes exceptional undergraduate research.

Eligibility criteria for the John A. Murphy Prize in Irish History at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be a current University College Cork student.
• The applicants must be a student of the School of History at UCC.
• There is no nationality restriction; the award is open for all nationals. 
• The applicants must submit a BA seminar dissertation in Irish history.

Application Process:

• There is no separate application required; the eligible students are considered automatically 

Value of the Scholarship:

• A prize of EUR 200 is awarded to support a full-time student.
