The James M. O Donovan Medical Prize at University College Cork 2026

Introduction:

The James M. O'Donovan Medical Prize was established in honor of Professor James M. O'Donovan, who served as Professor of Medicine at University College Cork (UCC) from 1932 to 1957.

Eligibility criteria for the James M. O. Donovan at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be a current UCC student.
• The applicants must be sitting the final medical examination.
• The applicants must obtain the highest marks in medicine.
• The applicants must have studied at UCC for the three years immediately preceding the examination.

Application Process:

• No separate application is required. Eligible students are nominated by the examiners based on their performance

Value of the Scholarship:

• A EUR 1,750 is awarded to support a full-time student.
