Te Manawa O Te-Ika-A-Maui Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington
This scholarship supports a Ngāti Tūwharetoa undergraduate student at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington studying Environmental Management or Science. It promotes Ngāti Tūwharetoa participation and success at the University while aligning with the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board’s Mahere Rautaki 2021–2026, particularly Pou Taiao, which encourages active protection of wai and the natural environment. The scholarship is co-funded with Victoria University to advance these goals.
Eligibility Criteria of Te Manawa O Te-Ika-A-Maui Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in an undergraduate programme in Environmental Management or Science.
- Applicants must be registered with the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board.
