Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship, 2025

Eligibility criteria for the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship, 2025:

Applicants must:

• Have a demonstrated research ability.
• Be applying for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at the University of Tasmania.
• Be intending to study full-time.
• Not be receiving another equivalent award, scholarship, or salary that provides a benefit greater than 75% of the TGRS stipend rate.
• Meet all admission requirements for the research degree (including academic qualifications and English language proficiency).
• For international applicants: May need to secure a Tuition Fee Scholarship separately (as TGRS does not automatically waive tuition fees for international candidates).

Benefits of the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship, 2025:

• Living Allowance: AUD $33,511 per annum (2025 rate), indexed annually (paid fortnightly).
• Relocation Allowance: Up to AUD $2,000 to assist with relocation costs to Tasmania.
• Tuition Fees:
  • Domestic: Covered by the RTP Fees Offset (no tuition cost).
  • International: Must secure separate Tuition Fee Scholarship or pay tuition fees.

Not Covered: Student Services and Amenities Fee, Overseas Health Cover (OSHC), visa costs.
