Takaro Play Course Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

This scholarship, supported by Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa, encourages further learning opportunities for the Play Network. It provides certified recognition and supports engagement in the postgraduate course PLAY 501 within the Master of Physical Activity and Hauora.

Eligibility Criteria of Takaro Play Course Scholarship: 

1. Applicants must be domestic students and either a Regional Play Lead or Local Play Advocate.
2. Applicants must be accepted into the PLAY 501 course within the Master of Physical Activity and Hauora.

Selection Criteria: Applicants will be awarded the scholarship on the basis of approval from the co-directors of Te Hau Kori. Co-Directors of Te Hau Kori and Sport NZ Play Unit will decide on the criteria for decision-making.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Award: Tuition fees of up to NZD 1,300.

Note: 

1. The scholarship provides up to NZD 1,300 towards tuition fees, contingent on enrolment in the PLAY 501 course.
2. Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the donor and submit a Progress Report at the end of the trimester.
