Eligibility criteria for the Sydney International Student Award:
Applicants must:
- Be an international student (not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, nor a permanent resident of Australia).
- Hold citizenship from one of the eligible countries or regions in Africa, Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Western Asia, Eastern Europe, or South and Central America.
- Have received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree commencing in 2026 at the University of Sydney.
- Not have already started a degree at the University of Sydney (unless applying for a second degree).
- Meet all entry and English language requirements of their chosen program.
- Submit a personal statement as part of the application process.
Value of the Sydney International Student Award:
- A 20% tuition fee reduction for the entire duration of the recipient’s chosen course.
- The contribution is automatically applied to tuition fees.
Application process:
- Apply for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney.
- Submit a personal statement (template provided by the university) as part of your course application.
- Eligible applicants will be prompted automatically to apply for the award during their course application process.
- If successful, the award will be included in your offer letter and reflected as a tuition fee reduction.
