Incarcerated Student Learning Resource Scheme at University of Southern Queensland

In 2025, UniSQ will offer the Incarcerated Student Learning Resource Scheme to help incarcerated students in undergraduate programs purchase required texts. The scheme supports access, retention, and completion for low SES, regional, remote, and Indigenous students, and opens each study period with ongoing eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The applicant must be incarcerated at the time of request and be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.
2. The applicant must be commencing or continuing an undergraduate program at UniSQ in the relevant study period, and continuing students must have achieved a GPA of at least 4.0.
3. The applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of one study unit in the relevant study period (students in UniSQ Ready or postgraduate programs are not eligible).

Selection Criteria: The applicant must have the Correctional Centre Endorsement section completed, along with either the "Limited Resources Support Consent Form" or "Student Authority to Act Form"; these forms and further information on supporting incarcerated students are available on the UniSQ website.

Application Process: Correctional Centre Education Officers and individuals with authority to act on behalf of an incarcerated student must download the UniSQ Incarcerated Learning Resource Scheme Request Form, complete it, and email it to support@unisq.edu.au.
