Ross Milbourne Research Scholarship in Economics 2025

Overview:

The Ross Milbourne Research Scholarship in Economics is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Education and Training, alongside the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), in honour of Professor Ross Milbourne, to support students of exceptional research potential to undertake a higher degree by research in a field of economics at UTS. The scholarship is provided to assist with general living costs.

Eligibility for Ross Milbourne Research Scholarship in Economics:

• Accepted into a higher degree by research (HDR) at UTS in economics
• Completed a Bachelor's with First Class Honours or equivalent attainment
• HDR program commencing in the scholarship year
• Enrolled full-time unless part-time study is approved
• Have not completed a degree at the same or higher level
• Not receiving another award or salary exceeding 75% of the scholarship stipend (income unrelated to study is exempt)

Only top-scoring applicants are considered. Complete applications, including all supporting documents, must be submitted by the deadline; late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Value offered: Living Allowance- AUD 32,500 per annum
