Red Deer County Council Award

The Red Deer County Council Award helps to provide support to full-time students who are enrolled in any program at Olds College.

Eligibility criteria for the Red Deer County Council Award:

• The applicant must be a full-time student at the college.
• The applicant must be enrolled in any program at the college.
• The applicant must be a current Red Deer County dependent or resident.
• The applicant must have graduated from high school within the last three years.
• The applicant must demonstrate a background and involvement in agricultural programs or practices.
• The applicant must demonstrate commitment and involvement in their school and community.
• Preference will be given to those pursuing an agricultural-based program or a demonstrated application of how their education will benefit the agricultural community.

Application process for the Red Deer County Council Award:

• Applicants must submit a 200-300 word essay detailing their background or involvement in agriculture programs & practices.
• Applicants must submit a letter of reference from a member of the community.
