This scholarship is awarded to a student who has completed the Master of Mathematics and Statistics and undertaken a substantial research component that significantly aligns with the discipline of Pure or Applied Mathematics, based on academic merit.

Eligibility for the Professor Nanson Prize:

Applicants must:

Have completed the research training program in the Master of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) at the University of Melbourne.
Have completed the Research Project Component of the master's degree on a subject in Pure or Applied Mathematics.
