Professor Joseph Lyons Award for Academic Excellence at University College Cork 2026

Introduction:

The Professor Joseph Lyons Prize for Academic Excellence is an academic award offered by the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences at University College Cork (UCC).

Eligibility criteria for the Professor Joseph Lyons Prize for Academic Excellence at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be current University College Cork (UCC) students.
• The applicants must be a student in the BSc Postgraduate Certificate in Food Science programme and dairy Technology and Innovation respectively.
• The scholarship is awarded to the student who achieves the highest overall marks in dairy science and technology module examinations and across all examinations in the postgraduate programmes.
• Results must be achieved at the first attempt.

Application Process:

• No separate application is required; the eligible students are automatically considered based on their academic performance.

The value of the scholarship:

• EUR 100 with a perpetual medal are awarded to support a full-time student.
