Peter Blazey Fellowship at University of Melbourne 2024

Eligibility for the Peter Blazey Fellowship:

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

• Students need to be an Australian citizen or have Australian residency and be engaged in a work in progress in the non-fiction fields of autobiography, biography, or life writing
• not using the manuscript as part of a submission for a higher degree
• Students should have a publishing record.

Documents required:

• Synopsis (no more than one page) of the project and proposed work to be undertaken during the Fellowship
• An extract of approximately 5000 words of unpublished material. The text should be spaced at one-and-a-half lines
• A resume (no more than two pages), including a list of publications
• Copy of proof of Australian citizenship or residency, such as a passport, birth certificate, or citizenship certificate

Value of Peter Blazey Fellowship:

• A single payment of up to AUD 15,000, which must not be used to provide a publishing subsidy
• A one-month residency at the Australian Centre, including access to office space and facilities but not accommodation
