Old A s Summer Scholar Prize at University of Auckland 2026

The main purpose of the Old A’s Summer Scholar Prize at the University of Auckland is to recognize and reward excellence from a Summer Research Scholar in the Faculty of Education and Social Work who aspires to a career in teaching.

Eligibility Criteria for Old A’s Summer Scholar Prize at University of Auckland:

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled in the SUMRESCH 301 Summer Research Scholarship in the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
• Have worked on a research project in Education that has been deemed by the Selection Committee to be of the highest quality.
• The research project must have been completed between November and March each year.

Selection Criteria for Old A’s Summer Scholar Prize at the University of Auckland:

• Research excellence
• Research contribution
• Written communication skills
• Personal and professional development, as assessed by the final report and the supervisor's report.

Value of Old A’s Summer Scholar Prize at University of Auckland:

One Prize will be awarded annually and will be of the value of $1,000.

Application Process:

The following must be provided for consideration:

• A copy of the student’s final report.
• A statement from the project supervisor.
