Alumni Prize for Undergraduate Research in Biology - Areas of cellular, molecular, physiological, or developmental biology

The Alumni Prize for Undergraduate Research in Biology was established to support undergraduate students conducting research in the areas of cellular, molecular, physiological, developmental, or microbiology.

Eligibility criteria -

1. The applicant must be an undergraduate Biology major in the area of cellular, molecular, physiological, developmental, or microbiology.
2. They must be engaged in original biological research as stated above or have participated in such research during the year before applying for the award.
3. They must have a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0
4. They must be enrolled in 6 units or more for the current Spring term.
5. They must have presented and defended their work in a public forum (such as an oral or poster presentation at a student symposium or a national or regional scientific meeting) or a paper published in or accepted for publication in a refereed scientific journal.

Application process -

• Must request (2) letters of recommendation via the my Matador Scholarships portal.
  One letter of recommendation must be from your faculty research mentor and another from a CSUN faculty member or staff member.
• Must upload documentation of poster/platform presentations AND citation of any publications.

Note - The applicant must also answer the supplemental questions asked by the University.
