The Northern Pathways to Health Care Bursary supports undergraduate students at the University of Northern British Columbia who plan to pursue medical or other health professions programs in Northern British Columbia.
Eligibility Criteria for the Northern Pathways to Health Care Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:
- Applicants must be full-time students accepted into a UNBC undergraduate degree program.
- Applicants must intend to apply to the UBC Northern Medical Program or another health professions program based in Northern BC.
- Applicants must demonstrate residency in an NCLGA community.
- Applicants must demonstrate academic ability.
- Applicants must have 30 or fewer post-secondary credits.
- Applicants must participate fully in the Northern Pathways to Health Care Program.
Application Process for the Northern Pathways to Health Care Bursary at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:
- Applicants must apply online through the UNBC Awards and Financial Aid Office.
- Selected applicants must submit one income declaration and two reference letters (academic and community).
- Recipients are selected by the Program Chair/Committee.
- The bursary may be renewed for up to three additional years with a minimum GPA of 3.33 (B+/77%).
- Recipients must fully participate in the Northern Pathways to Health Care Program.
