Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship at Imperial College London

The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship is a program offered in partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team to support aspiring engineers from underrepresented groups at Imperial College London. The scholarship is specifically for students in the Department of Aeronautics.

Eligibility Criteria of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship:

1. The applicant must belong to an underrepresented background in higher education or engineering, such as being from an ethnic minority group, a low-income household, or being the first in their family to attend university.
2. The applicant must have experienced educational or social disadvantage — for example, if the applicant attended a school with low progression to higher education, has been in care or is estranged, has a disability or long-term health condition, or comes from a region with low participation in higher education.

Selection Process: Applicants must demonstrate strong academic ability and a genuine passion for engineering, innovation, and problem-solving. The selection process also values resilience, leadership potential, and a commitment to creating a positive impact in the field of engineering or society as a whole.

Application Process: 

1. The applicant must apply via UCAS for the H401 MEng Aeronautical Engineering course by 18:00 GMT on 29 January 2025 and complete the required ESAT Test in January (registration closes on 23 December 2024).
2. Eligible applicants who receive an offer for 2025 entry will be contacted with full scholarship details, the application form, and the submission deadline once places are confirmed.

Award: Full tuition fees and a living allowance for four years.
