Eligibility

To qualify for the Marion Cilker Scholarship for Infusing Art into Education Fund, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Minimum GPA:

Enrollment Requirements:

• Applicants must be enrolled in a teacher preparation program, which prepares them to become certified educators.

Commitment to the Arts:

• Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and incorporating the fine arts, performing arts, and/or art history into middle and high school education.
• This could be shown through past experiences, coursework, or a clear professional goal to bring the arts into the classroom.
• Leadership and Conference Participation: Recipients must show a willingness to provide leadership and support to the Cilker Conference Committee.
• This involves participating in and attending the annual Marion Cilker Conference for Arts in Education, typically held during the fall semester.

• Additionally, the recipient of the scholarship must write a thank you note to the donor expressing appreciation for the award.
