Lawson Scholarship

The Lawson Scholarship supports academically strong students who are passionate about philosophy or similar fields, especially those who care about community service and are committed to making a positive impact in society.

Eligibility criteria for the Lawson Scholarship:

• The applicant must major in Philosophy or a related humanities field.
• The applicant must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 
• The applicant must rank in the top 10% of their graduating class, if class ranking is available.
• The applicant must have a minimum SAT score of 1300 or ACT score of 29.
• The applicant must demonstrate an interest in community service and positive social impact.

Application process for the Lawson Scholarship:

• The applicant must first apply to Stetson University.
• The applicant must submit a 500-word essay.
• The applicant must submit the application through the Hatter Portal.
• The applicant must submit the Lawson Scholarship application and the essay by December 1.

Award: up to USD 5,000 per year
