Jules Irving Scholarship

The Jules Irving Scholarship provides financial assistance to Theatre Arts students who desire to enter a dramatic career in legitimate theatre at San Francisco State University.

Eligibility criteria for the Jules Irving Scholarship:

• Applicants must be majoring in Theatre Arts or Drama at the university.
• Applicants must be continuing students.
• Undergraduate applicants may be in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year.
• Graduate applicants may be pursuing a Master’s or MFA.
• Applicants must be enrolled at least half-time.
• Graduate applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Applicants should demonstrate a desire to pursue a dramatic career in legitimate theatre.

Application process for the Jules Irving Scholarship:

• Applicants must submit a 500-word personal statement including their name and addressing why they feel they deserve the award, their experience, what distinguishes their work, the qualities they bring to the field of study, and their career goals.
• Applicants must upload their current resume.
• Applicants must upload their latest transcript; unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
