This scholarship is awarded to a first-year Doctor or Master of Philosophy Science Physics candidate, who has completed a Master or Bachelor of Science (Honours) at the University of Melbourne in the School of Physics, based on academic merit.

Eligibility Criteria for John Tyndall Scholarship at University of Melbourne 2026:

Applicants must:

Complete a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science Honours in the School of Physics, at the University of Melbourne, and
Be enrolled in the first year of a Doctor or Master of Philosophy Science research program in the School of Physics, at the University of Melbourne.

Value of the John Tyndall Scholarship at University of Melbourne 2026:

A one-off payment of up to $500. The recipient of this scholarship also receives the Dieul-Kurzweil Scholarship, worth around $1000.
