H. Walter Stern Scholarship at University College London (UCL) 2024

The H. Walter Stern Scholarship, administered by the UCL Department of Chemical Engineering, is established in memory of Mr. H. Walter Stern, an alumnus of the department who undertook a diploma course in Chemical Engineering in 1941. Mr. Stern's legacy in his will is dedicated to supporting teaching and research in the field of chemical engineering. From the academic year 2024/2025 onwards, this scholarship will contribute towards the UCL Research Opportunity Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

The scholarship is intended to support UK permanent residents from specific BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) ethnic groups, including:

• Black or Black British-Caribbean
• Black or Black British - African
• Other Black background
• Asian or Asian British - Bangladeshi
• Asian or Asian British-Pakistani

Applicants must inform the department of their wish to be considered for this scholarship and submit a completed UCL Research Opportunity Scholarship (ROS) application form by the specified deadline.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship contributes towards the UCL Research Opportunity Scholarship.
