Hampton Scholars Scholarship at Lurie College of Education 2025

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Hampton Scholars Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

CAMS Graduate:

• Applicants must be graduates of the California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS).

Financial Need:

• Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the campus financial aid office.

Good Academic Standing:

• Applicants must be in good academic standing at their CSU campus.
• Enrollment Status:
• Recipients must remain a full-time equivalent student at a California State University during the scholarship period. 

Award Value

Award Amount:

• Four (4) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded for the academic year. 

Application Process

Contact Financial Aid Office:

• Interested students should contact the financial aid department at their campus to get more details and confirm the process.

Nomination and Submission:

• The campus financial aid office will review eligible candidates and forward the nominations to the CSU Foundation.

The following materials must be completed and submitted by the nominated applicants:

Personal Statement:

• A 300-word response for each of the following questions:What experience has impacted your personal growth?
• Tell us about a time you failed. What did you learn from that experience?
• Why are you pursuing your major? How does it relate to your career aspirations?
• Provide an example of service beyond the classroom. Why is this example significant to you?
