Applicants must:

Be incoming freshman students
Have graduated from the California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS)
Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at any California State University (CSU) campus
Demonstrate strong academic performance
Demonstrate financial need.

Value of the Gregson Bautzer Scholarship at California State University 2026:

Two scholarship recipients are selected each academic year by the California Academy of Mathematics and Science, and awarded $3,000 per year for four years while enrolled full-time at a CSU campus.

Application Process:

The California Academy of Mathematics and Science will select two students each academic year, based on the criteria above. Once a decision has been reached, the California Academy of Mathematics and Science sends a letter of notification to the CSU Foundation which includes:

A brief personal statement describing personal achievements and goals and aspirations for the future.
