Eligibility Criteria for Graduate Engagement and Leadership Award in French Studies:
Applicants must:
- Be full-time graduate students (Master’s or Doctoral level).
- Be enrolled in the Department of French Studies in the Faculty of Arts at University of Waterloo.
- Demonstrate leadership and engagement within francophone communities (on-campus or off-campus).
- Have a minimum cumulative academic average of 80% or equivalent.
- Show additional community engagement may be considered if combined with francophone involvement outside the university.
- Not have received this award previously, and not hold it concurrently with certain other French Studies awards.
Value of Graduate Engagement and Leadership Award in French Studies:
The award provides CAD $500.
Application Process:
- Complete the application form from the French Studies website.
- Submit the application to the Department of French Studies Graduate Studies Coordinator.
- Applications are reviewed by the Graduate Studies Committee, which selects recipients annually in June.
