Background:
This scholarship was established in 2018 with a donation from the Angus Fletcher Trust and awarded to undergraduate students who intend to become professionally qualified engineers and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
Eligibility for the Fletcher Scholarship in Engineering:
- Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens.
- Candidates should have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.
- Students must not have completed subjects undertaken as part of a tertiary course.
- Candidates should have applied for a University of Melbourne Graduate Degree Package in Engineering via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate.
- Students must be eligible for entry to the University of Melbourne under Access Melbourne.
Selection criteria:
This scholarship is awarded to eligible candidates who have the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application.
Application: Students who apply for admission to the University through the VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) are automatically considered.
