Fletcher Scholarship in Engineering at University of Melbourne 2024

Background:

This scholarship was established in 2018 with a donation from the Angus Fletcher Trust, and awarded to undergraduate students who intend to become professionally qualified engineers and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

Eligibility for the Fletcher Scholarship in Engineering:

• Applicants must be Australian citizens permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens.
• Candidates should have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.
• Students must not have been awarded results for subjects undertaken as part of a degree course at a tertiary institution in Australia.
• Candidates should have applied for a University of Melbourne Graduate Degree Package in Engineering via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate.
• Students must be eligible for entry to the University of Melbourne under Access Melbourne.

Selection criteria:

This scholarship is awarded to eligible candidates who have the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application and their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

Value of the Scholarship:

An allowance of $5,000 per year (paid in half-yearly installments) for up to three years while enrolled in an undergraduate degree and up to two years while enrolled in the Master of Engineering.

Application: Students who apply for admission to the University through the VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) are automatically considered.
