First Nations Health Authority – Island Health Partners in Wellness Scholarship

The First Nations Health Authority – Island Health Partners in Wellness Scholarship is supported by the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), and it supports currently registered Indigenous students at Camosun College.

Eligibility criteria for the First Nations Health Authority – Island Health Partners in Wellness Scholarship:

• Applicants must be currently registered students at Camosun College in either Unit Clerk, Health Care Assistant, Community Mental Health Worker, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Medical Radiography, Medical Laboratory Assistant, or Interprofessional Mental Health & Addictions.
• Applicants must have Indigenous ancestry, including First Nations, Metis, Inuit, or Native American ancestry.
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 4.0 or equivalent.
• Financial need will be strongly considered.
• Preference is given to Indigenous students from Vancouver Island.
• If no eligible Vancouver Island applicants apply, consideration is extended to Indigenous students from B.C., followed by Canada.

Application Process for the First Nations Health Authority – Island Health Partners in Wellness Scholarship:

• Applicants must submit a self-written letter describing their goals and dreams of working as a healthcare professional.
• Applicants must complete the Eyēʔ Sqȃ’lewen (IECC) awards application form.
