Overview:
Established by alumni, colleagues and friends in honour of Dr. S.R. Zingel, a Forestry professor from 1966-1992, who retired in January 1992. Awarded to a third year Forestry degree student who attains a minimum ‘B’ standing in compulsory Forestry 2110 – Forest Soils course.
Eligibility for Dr S R Zingel Bursary:
- Must be a third-year student enrolled in the Forestry degree program at Lakehead University
- Must achieve a minimum B standing in the compulsory Forestry
- Must be in good overall academic standing within the Forestry program
- Preference may be given to students demonstrating active participation in departmental activities, fieldwork, or research projects related to forestry
