Eligibility for Domestic Research Training Program Scholarships at James Cook University:
- The candidate must be enrolled full-time in an internal program upon the start of the scholarship, or in exceptional cases, the university may approve the applicant for a part-time or external program
- The applicant must not be receiving any other scholarships or salaries to pursue the proposed program; the term "equivalent" may refer to more than 75% of the base stipend.
- The applicant must be pursuing a Masters by Research or Research Doctoral degree while receiving a scholarship.
- The candidate must be able to fulfill the requirements stated in their offer of candidature.
- If the candidate is not an Australian citizen or a citizen of New Zealand, they must be able to meet the requirements of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection or become an Australian permanent resident.
