Dimiter Etimov Endowed Scholarship at Illinois Institute of Technology 2026

Dimiter Etimov Endowed Scholarship:

The Dimiter Etimov Endowed Scholarship supports Bulgarian students pursuing a non-thesis master’s degree at Illinois Institute of Technology. The scholarship aims to help recipients gain advanced skills and knowledge and apply them toward their future careers in Bulgaria.

Eligibility Criteria for the Dimiter Etimov Endowed Scholarship:

• The applicants must be a citizen of Bulgaria and not a resident or citizen of any other country.
• The applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school and university in Bulgaria.
• The applicants must be preselected and nominated; each school or university may nominate only one student per year.
• The applicants must provide a nomination letter from a professor at the current university.
• The applicants must provide a letter from a Bulgarian company interested in hiring the applicant based on the skills gained through the program.

Application Process:

• The applicant must submit an application and also submit an essay explaining their goals for a career in Bulgaria and how an Illinois Tech education will help achieve those goals.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship covers tuition for a maximum of three consecutive academic semesters. Room and board in double-occupancy campus accommodation may also be covered, subject to availability and annual funding review.
