Eligibility Criteria for DataLab/School of Geosciences Scholarships in GIS at University of Edinburgh 2025:
- Be a Scottish resident and meet the Scottish Government ordinary residence rules (3 years in Scotland, not in full-time education + right to live/work in UK).
- Be a new full-time student starting the MSc Geographical Information Science (GIS) in 2025–26.
- Hold a 2:1 degree or a 2:2 degree plus 3 years’ GIS professional experience.
- Agree to take at least 2 of Data Mining & Exploration, Advanced Spatial Database Methods, and Object-Oriented Software Engineering (spatial algorithms).
- Not have already started the programme before the deadline; no part-time, no deferral.
