The Claire Palmer-Jones Scholarship was established in 2008 through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation from a bequest from the estate of Mrs. Claire Palmer-Jones. The scholarship aims to support female students facing financial hardship in their second or third year of study in the fields of literature and/or modern languages at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant:
- is a female student facing financial hardship.
- must be enrolled full-time in their second or third year at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
- must be enrolled in English literature or modern language programs.
- must demonstrate financial need.
Value of the Scholarship:
Approximately NZD 5,000 (subject to funds available) is to be awarded for one year.
