Introduction:

The C.J. Waite Memorial Award for Carpentry and Heritage Retrofit Carpentry Students was established by Ellen Clarke and Steve Smith through the Clarke Smith Foundation in memory of C.J. Waite. The award honours C.J.’s legacy by supporting students from Prince County, PEI, who are pursuing studies in the skilled trades of Carpentry and Heritage Retrofit Carpentry at Holland College.

Eligibility requirement for C.J. Waite Memorial Award for Carpentry and Heritage Retrofit Carpentry Students at Holland College:

Must be a resident of Prince Edward Island (PEI).
Preference is given to applicants who are current residents of Prince County, PEI.
Must be entering one of the following programs at Holland College:
- Carpentry
- Heritage Retrofit Carpentry
If no eligible Prince County applicants are available, secondary consideration will be given based on demonstrated financial need.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 2,500 is awarded to support a full-time student

Application Process:

Be enrolled in a Holland College program.
Serve as a current Resident Life Coordinator in a Holland College residence.
Complete the student awards application.
Provide any information requested regarding your contributions to residence life.
Answer the supplemental eligibility question.4
