California Senate Fellowship Program at California State University 2024-25

Applications are invited for the California Senate Fellows Program to provide insight into the legislative process through experiential learning. It offers college graduates a paid, full-time legislative staff position in the State Capitol. Responsibilities include helping develop legislative proposals, researching and analyzing bills, responding to constituent inquiries, and writing press releases and speeches.

Eligibility for California State University, Sacramento- California Senate Fellows (CSF) Program in the US:

• The applicant must be at least 20 years of age by September 1st of the fellowship year.
• The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree by September 1st of the fellowship year.
• The applicant must demonstrate an interest in state government and public policy.
• The applicant must fulfill one of the following conditions:
  • Undergraduate CGPA of 2.5 or higher
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher in the last 60 (semester) or 90 (quarter) units
• The non-US applicants must provide proof of appropriate immigration status. 
• The applicants must be prepared for full-time employment, Monday - Friday.

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

• College transcripts
• Three letters of recommendation
