Buchanan Family Award in Memory of Josh Buchanan at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

The Buchanan Family Award in Memory of Josh Buchanan was established by Sterling Buchanan in memory of his son, Josh Buchanan, a graduate of Holland College’s Plumbing/Pipefitting program. The award recognizes students entering the same program who reflect the personal and professional qualities Josh demonstrated, including dedication, strong work ethic, and integrity.

Eligibility requirement for Buchanan Family Award in Memory of Josh Buchanan at Holland College:

• Must be entering the Plumbing/Pipefitting program at Holland College.
• Must demonstrate qualities such as self-motivation, strong work ethic, integrity, respectfulness, and honesty.
• Must submit a written essay outlining these personal qualities.
• Must provide a reference letter from a former teacher or employer supporting these characteristics.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 1,500 is awarded to support a full-time student
