Give the most talented Indian scientists and students the chance to visit prestigious US universities and see firsthand world-class research facilities; Encourage research and the development of capability in the cutting-edge field of biofuels and bioenergy; Motivate and encourage exceptional pupils to pursue careers in research; Make it easier for upcoming Indian scientists and technologists to engage with their American counterparts, fostering long-term research and development relationships and partnerships.

Eligibility for Bioenergy-Awards for Cutting Edge Research:

For Student Internships:

• Indian citizen currently pursuing a Ph.D. on a full-time basis in the field of Biofuel related area in a public-funded R&D lab/S&T institution / recognized academic institute/university/college in India.
• Age: Up to 32 years as of 31 December of the year the call is made.

For Fellowships:​​

An Indian citizen with a Ph.D. in Life Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, or Technology holding a regular Position in a publicly funded R&D lab/ S&T institution/recognized university/college in India. Applicants must provide proof of independent research work in internationally recognized academic journals. Open only to applicants working in the field of Biofuels.
