The scholarship is intended to support postgraduate students from the United Kingdom pursuing a PhD in English literature, Scottish history, or classics at the University of St Andrews. The scholarship is made possible by the kind donations of Ewan Brown CBE FRSE 1963 and Christine R. Brown (Lindsay) 1964.

Eligibility Criteria for Ewan & Christine Brown Postgraduate Scholarship in the Arts and Humanities at the University of St Andrews:

Students must be classified as UK nationals.
Students must have applied for a PhD program.
Students must choose Classics, Scottish History, or English Literature subjects.

University transcript, including interim transcripts for any degrees pending.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants will get 1 award of £16,500 per annum, paid towards tuition fees first.
