This scholarship was established in 2016 by an endowed bequest from the estate of UQ alumna and music critic Barbara Jean Hebden OAM.

Eligibility for the Barbara Hebden Music Bursary:

Applicants can be domestic or international students.
Candidates should be enrolled full-time in the first year of the Bachelor of Music (Honours).

Selection Criteria:

Preference will be given to applicants who audition on a relevant instrument (to be announced soon).

Application Process:

Candidates will be automatically assessed for the bursary during their audition for the Bachelor of Music (Honours).

Value of the Scholarship:

The students will receive a value equal to the annual income from the fund.
