Africa Undergraduate Scholarship at University of Essex 2024

Eligibility for the Africa Regional Scholarship:

• Applicants must be international fee payers and are entirely self-funded.
• Students must be permanent residents of an African Union member nation 
• Beginning in October 2024–25, students must register for the University of Essex's first year (Year 1) of a full-time undergraduate degree.
• By July 12th, 2024, UCAS candidates need to firmly select Essex as their preference. Candidates who join Essex after being turned down by their first firm preference elsewhere are not qualified. By July 12, 2024, Direct Applicants must accept their offer.
• The grant is not transferable to another University of Essex scholarship.
• This grant is exclusively available for undergraduate students in their first year of study (Year 1) in 2024–2025.
• Selected candidates need to be accessible for advertising campaigns.

Value of the scholarship:

GBP 4,000 discount on the first year’s fee

Application Process:

Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for this award. They don’t need to complete an application form. The University will assess their eligibility based on the academic transcripts and certificates they submit with their application for their place at Essex.
