Thermo Fisher Scientific Prize in Organic Chemistry at University College Cork 2026

Introduction:

This Thermo Fisher Scientific Prize in Organic Chemistry scholarship is awarded for an outstanding academic achievement in organic chemistry and is awarded annually to the top-performing undergraduate student in eligible chemistry degree programs at University College Cork.

Eligibility criteria for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Prize in Organic Chemistry at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be current UCC students.
• The applicants must have completed the third year of one of the programmes: BSc Chemistry or BSc Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds or Chemistry with Forensics
• The applicants must have passed Sc III and achieved the highest combined mark in the Organic Chemistry modules CM3001 and CM3004.

Application Process:

• No separate application is required. The prize is awarded annually based on academic performance

Value of the Scholarship:

• A EUR 1,000 is awarded to support a full-time student.
