Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Applied Sciences at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

The Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Applied Sciences is presented to an outstanding student in an applied science program at Holland College. The award honors first-year achievement for students who demonstrate a significant balance of academic leadership, financial need, volunteerism, peer collaboration, and personal growth. Recipients are selected from nominations from the applied sciences department staff and faculty.

Eligibility requirements for the Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Applied Sciences at Holland College:

• Must be entering second year of one of the eligible programs.
• Must have completed first-year studies in:
  • Bioscience Technology
  • Environmental Applied Science Technology
  • Wildlife Conservation Technology
• Must demonstrate excellence in academic performance, leadership, financial need, volunteerism, and personal development.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 2,400 is available to support a full-time student.

Application Process:

• Students must be nominated by staff or faculty from the Applied Sciences department.
• Nominations must outline the student’s achievements in academics, leadership, financial need, volunteerism, peer collaboration, and personal growth.
• Nominations must be submitted before the 31 March 2027 deadline.
