The California State University Real Estate and Land Use Institute has an endowment with the State of California Department of Real Estate, which provides funding for internship grants and scholarships. Any major interested in the real estate profession is welcome to apply. Students who choose to participate in an unpaid internship may be eligible to obtain an award under the internship option.

Eligibility for Real Estate Scholarship and Internship Grant at California State University:

Have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in real estate.
Have completed or be currently enrolled in at least one course in real estate or a related area. Eligible courses include:
- Urban planning
- Urban economics
- Geographic information systems (GIS)
- Ethics
- Property tax classes
- Typical business school real estate courses
Be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at any California State University campus.
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate students or 3.0 for graduate students.
Have encountered economic or educational disadvantages in pursuing higher education.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum ranging from USD 500 to USD 2,000.
