PhD scholarships: Indigenous Counselling and Nicotine (ICAN) QUIT in Pregnancy, 2017

The University of Newcastle is offering Ph.D. scholarships: Indigenous Counselling and Nicotine (ICAN) QUIT in Pregnancy, 2017 for up to three full-time Ph.D. candidates.

Eligibility criteria for PhD scholarships: Indigenous Counselling and Nicotine (ICAN) QUIT in Pregnancy, 2017:

• Candidates must be distinguished as Indigenous (Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or Indigenous from a population similarly affected in a high-income country such as NZ Māori, American Indian, Canadian First Nations);  OR
• Candidates who possess an interest in Indigenous health are also eligible to apply for Ph.D. scholarships: Indigenous Counselling and Nicotine (ICAN) QUIT in Pregnancy, 2017.
• Applicants must have received their Bachelor degree with First Class Honours or equivalent and also be fluent in English,

Documents required:

• Candidates applying for Ph.D. scholarships: Indigenous Counselling and Nicotine (ICAN) QUIT in Pregnancy, 2017 must submit an essay of 500 words that details why they are motivated to apply, their topic of interest, goals for future career in Indigenous Health, including Indigenous identity if relevant, previous experience or interest in Indigenous Health research.
• Applicants must submit their curriculum vitae including previous degrees, grades, GPA, research experience, employment, papers published, and any grants obtained.
