Michael & Greta McKinney Physics & Astronomy Scholarship at San Francisco State University 2024

Michael & Greta McKinney Physics & Astronomy Scholarship is awarded to support undergraduates (sophomores, juniors & seniors) in the Department of Physics & Astronomy who demonstrate outstanding academic merit and financial need.

Eligibility criteria:

• Open to all nationals 
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolling/enrolled in the Department of Physics & Astronomy.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0
• Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 9 units.

Value: $6,000

Application requirements:

• Submit an essay (250-750 words) covering your career goals and how the scholarship will help, your financial need, your involvement in research or extracurricular activities, and any obstacles you've overcome.
• Provide one letter of recommendation from a college instructor related to your major and a second letter from someone knowledgeable about your research or leadership activities, both by the deadline.
• Upload all college transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
