Mediserve Indigenous Nursing Scholarship at University of Technology Sydney 2025

Overview:

The Scholarship aims to provide financial support to encourage a passionate and high performing Indigenous Student studying nursing at UTS to support their studies in their second year.

Eligibility for Mediserve Indigenous Nursing Scholarship UTS:

• Be commencing their second year of a Bachelor of Nursing (single or combined) at UTS in the Autumn session of the Scholarship selection.
• Be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and provide either:  
  • A Confirmation of Aboriginality from a Local Aboriginal Land Council or other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation; or  
  • A UTS Statutory Declaration form accompanied by two written references from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people from the applicant’s community who can confirm their identity and are not an immediate family member. 
• Be available to attend an interview (in person or via Zoom).  

Selection Process:

• Academic merit in their first year of study (Preference may be given to students with a WAM 65 +)
• Likelihood that the Scholarship will increase the ability of the Recipient to complete their UTS course at a higher level of performance than would otherwise be the case;
• Potential for the Recipient to be an effective and energetic agent for positive change in both their chosen career and community.
