The David Beltz Memorial Award recognizes outstanding academic writing in graduate-level English studies, rewarding the best student essay submitted in the Department of English Language and Literature.

Eligibility Criteria for David Beltz Memorial Award:

Applicants must:

Be full-time graduate students (MA or PhD) in the Department of English Language and Literature
Be currently registered, or have been registered within the past calendar year (Winter, Spring, or Fall)
Have submitted a strong essay in a graduate literature course.

Value of David Beltz Memorial Award:

Two awards (one MA and one PhD)
Minimum value of $150 each
