The Confucius Institute Chinese Award will be made by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Deputy Head (Academic) of the School of Cultures, Languages, and Linguistics (or nominee) in consultation with the Discipline Convenor of Chinese and the Confucius Institute. In the event of a tie, the Deputy Head (Academic) of the School of Cultures, Languages, and Linguistics (or nominee) will determine, in consultation with the Confucius Institute, if the Award may be shared. The Award will be made in Semester One each year. The Award will not be made in a particular year if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
Eligibility for Confucius Institute Chinese Award 2024:
- Two awards will be made annually to the Bachelor of Arts students majoring in Chinese who have enrolled in CHINESE 300 and/or CHINESE 301 and who achieved the best GPA in CHINESE 200 and CHINESE 201 in the preceding year.
Value of Confucius Institute Chinese Award 2024:
- The Confucius Institute Chinese Award will be paid as a fee credit for CHINESE 300 and/or CHINESE 301.
