Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary at Brock University 2026

Introduction: 

The Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary is an undergraduate in-course bursary offered through Brock University. Established in 2021, the bursary provides financial support of up to $2,000 to eligible student-athletes who self-identify as either Black or Indigenous and demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility requirements for the Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary at Brock University:

• Be an undergraduate student-athlete at Brock University.
• Appear on the eligibility certificate of an Ontario University Athletics (OUA) sport.
• Self-identify as either: Black, or Indigenous.
• Demonstrate financial need.

Value of the scholarship:

The value of the scholarship varies. 

Application Process:

• Complete the Brock Web Application.
• Self-identify as Black or Indigenous where requested.
• Provide information demonstrating financial need.
• Verify eligibility as a Brock student-athlete participating in an OUA sport.
