Eligibility for University of Amsterdam-Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship in Netherlands, 2023/24:
- The scholarships are open to non-EU nationals.
- Applicants who have graduated in the top 10% of their class may be considered for the scholarship.
- Applicants are required to have excellent academic track records.
- Must be willing to take part in extracurricular activities.
- Candidates' ambition and the relevance of the selected Master’s program to their future careers are considered.
Selection criteria:
- Letter of recommendation by a dean, teacher, or academic supervisor.
- Quality of the letter of motivation (maximum 500 words) in which the applicant describes the reasons for choosing the specific Master’s program.
- Description of extracurricular activities such as participation in student commissions, sports or music at a high level, or volunteer work.
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL): TOEFL (internet-based) – overall score of 100, IELTS (academic) – overall score of 7.0.
